My Caddy Won’t Let Me

I am pleased to announce the official launch of my second film project of the year! My Caddy Won’t Let Me is a documentary film starring Noah Engh “The Kid Fantastic.” Engh is an independent touring musicians, regularly performing over 200 shows a year, living out of his car. He tours, writes and records albums, and books his tours. By himself. He is the modern, indie/DIY paradigm, but he is really much more than that.

He is a wild character. Noah is better suited as character living within the pages of a Chuck Palahniuk or Carl Hiassen novel than he is drifting in and out of “normal” people’s lives on his perpetual countrywide journey. My Caddy Won’t Let Me is an examination of the unseen, misunderstood life of independent touring musicians. The bizarre and sometimes volatile situations that present themselves while on tour, and the incredible personalities and unlikely friendships that develop along the way.

Oh, and we’ll be exploring these things as we travel the west coast in a classic, 1978 Cadillac this August (2010).

The film is coming together, and the tour is being finalized, but we need YOUR help to really make it happen! Currently I am running a pledge campaign through Kickstarter.com in an effort to raise the necessary $4,500 to take this film from unique promotional curiosity, to the cinematic, film-festival touring mind bender it is destined to be!

Make your pledge through Kickstarter.com and get all sorts of cool stuff in return. Depending on your pledge amount, we will give you:

  • Autographed film posters
  • Up to three Noah Engh albums
  • Autographed guitar slides
  • Original illustrations by Noah Engh
  • Digital download of the finished film
  • Associate or Executive Producer credits
  • The ACTUAL Cadillac used for the film, delivered to your door, anywhere in the Lower 48

Thanks for your help! Check out the project page on Kickstarter for more information, updates, and to make your much appreciated pledges!
