The Beauty, the Adonis, and the Earthquake

I am glad to announce that production is officially under way on my fourth film, The Beauty, the Adonis, and the Earthquake. The film is a short, romantic comedy, revolving around the not so dissimilar worlds of snow globes, aquariums, and swimming pools.

The film is currently in pre-production. Shooting is expected to commence in April, continuing through the summer of 2010 at various locations in both the Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California areas.

The film was written by yours truly (David Urbanic), and will star the cream of the Los Angeles comedy crop, Barbara King, Richard Feliciano, and Amy Vorpahl. Furthermore, the film is being produced, aside from myself, by revered Hollywood stalwart, Victor Pancerev (Tupac Shakur, “I Get Around”; “The Great White Hype”). Custom props are currently being fabricated by renowned, London, England based industrial-design wizard, Matt Jackson.

Although a short-film, by definition, even the shortest of films owe their success to significant monetary and other donations from a wide array of people. Currently I am seeking both the monetary and physical (prop) donations that are necessary to make this film a critical–if not financial–success.

I need snow globes of all types and qualities, used aquariums and aquarium cleaning supplies, and as much pool cleaning equipment as possible! Monetary donations are most valued, of course. Monetary donations of $150 or more will be rewarded with a screen credit and a series of items upon completion of the film (for example, but not limited to DVD copies, t-shirts, stickers and stickers).

The official website for the film should be launched soon, where you will be able to find more information, art, and periodic updates on the production of The Beauty, the Adonis, and the Earthquake.
